The terrace at Europa Café opens at 8:00 a.m., with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and bagels coming out of the bakery. At noon, the atmosphere comes alive with diners enjoying the daily specials. And as the sun sets, the terrace becomes the perfect spot to linger over dinner with a refreshing cocktail.

  • Mornings on the terrace: breakfast and brunch featuring artisanal bagels from our bakery—also available gluten-free—pancakes, açaí bowls, and specialty coffee.
  • Lunchtime in the Sun: Fresh salads, wild salmon, fish from the local fish market, meats, and Mediterranean dishes. Ideal for a business lunch or a leisurely lunch.
  • Sunsets and evenings: signature cocktails, live music every day, and al fresco dining on one of the most lively terraces in the Eixample. On Fridays and Saturdays, the fun continues with a DJ.

On the terrace at Europa Café, you can enjoy our menu all day long, from the first bagel of the morning to the last dish of the night. Nonstop dining, quality ingredients, and a menu designed to let you experience the Diagonal at any time of day.

  • Artisanal bagels: Six varieties freshly baked in our own bakery, with a gluten-free option, available starting at 8 a.m. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or takeout.
  • Wild salmon, our signature dish: grilled, as a tartare, as tataki, or smoked with various flavor combinations—dill and truffle, nori and wakame seaweed, vodka and beet. It’s one of the highlights of the menu and the dish that guests who try it order again and again.
  • Fresh fish from the fish market: sole, sea bass, red seabream, gilthead seabream, or turbot—depending on what arrives at the market each morning. Always grilled over an oak charcoal fire, so you can enjoy the taste of the sea outdoors.
  • Carnes D.O. Rubia Gallega: Beef tenderloin with Béarnaise sauce and Argentine-style roast beef, grilled over charcoal and served with a view of the Diagonal in the background.

Yes. Europa Café is open every day of the year, including the patio. Hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The kitchen is open continuously, so you can eat on the terrace at any time.

Is the terrace accessible to people with limited mobility?

Where exactly is the terrace?

Located at 469 Avinguda Diagonal, right in the heart of Barcelona’s Eixample district, Europa Café has two street-level terraces: one facing Diagonal and another on Villarroel Street, next to the restaurant’s entrance. If you’re coming by car, there’s a paid parking lot at the back of the building and street parking available.

Can I have brunch on the terrace?

Of course. The terrace is open starting at 8:00 a.m. and offers the full brunch and café menu: fresh-baked bagels, pancakes, açaí bowls, granola, brioche French toast, and coffee. You can also order online for takeout.

Do you have any gluten-free or vegan options for dining on the patio?
